How long has Astor been running?Astor International School was opened to the first students in August of 2019. We are now preparing to enter our 7th academic year.

What nationalities are the staff and students?We are a multicultural school, with staff and students from all nationalities and cultural backgrounds. We have over 30 nationalities among our students. We do not have any dominant nationality. Every culture is celebrated at Astor.

What is the fee structure?Flexi fees $16,900 a year Make your own timetable! You can choose Enrichment Classes on certain days, or none at all (every term Enrichment Classes are paid separately). Fixed fees $22,800 a year Stay until 3pm every day! Enrichment Classes five days a week are included in the fee. You can choose which Enrichment Classes to attend. Read more about Fees here.

What age can students start at Astor?We take students from 5 years old. Our academic year runs from mid August to mid June. Year 1 (Students are 5, turning 6 years of age between August 1 and July 31 of that academic year) Year 2 (Students are 6, turning 7 years of age between August 1 and July 31 of that academic year) Year 3 (Students are 7, turning 8 years of age between August 1 and July 31 of that academic year) Year 4 (Students are 8, turning 9 years of age between August 1 and July 31 of that academic year) Year 5 (Students are 9, turning 10 years of age between August 1 and July 31 of that academic year) Year 6 (Students are 10, turning 11 years of age between August 1 and July 31 of that academic year) Year 7 (Students are 11, turning 12 years of age between August 1 and July 31 of that academic year)

What are the school times and term dates?Astor International School runs according to the international schools calendar, our academic year is mid August to mid June. Daily Schedule: 8:30am – 8:45am Drop Off 8:30am - 9:00am Morning Fitness* *Your drop off time will determine on how much Morning Fitness your child will do. 9:00am – 10:10am Classroom Time 10:10am – 10:50am Morning Break (eat snack and play always outside level 1) 10:50am – 11:50am Classroom Time 11:50am - 1:00pm Classroom Time** **During Classroom time every day students will study English, Math and International Primary Curriculum (IPC). 1:00pm – 1:30pm Lunch PARENT CHOICE AFTER 1:30pm: Option 1 – 1:00pm – 1.30pm Lunch and Pick Up Option 2 – 1:30pm – 2:00pm Play 2:00pm – 3:00pm Enrichment Classes 3:00pm Pick up *we reserve the right to change times slightly.

What curriculum does the school follow?Astor is proud to offer Curriculum based on world renowned Singapore Mathematics, English and International Primary Curriculum (IPC). What are your class sizes?We strive to provide personalized education and therefore, we keep our classes small. The average class size is 12-15 students, maximum class size is 20 students, so allow students to benefit from individual attention and teachers to adjust the curriculum to the class pace.

What support does Astor offer for student whose English is a Second Language (ESL) or Students with Specific Needs (SSN)?Astor International School offers dedicated ESL (English as a Second Language) support to help non-native English speakers develop their language skills and confidently participate in class. We also provide student support to ensure every child’s academic, social, and emotional needs are met, creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Does Astor provide Student visa for my child?No, Astor is not able to facilitate student visa/pass applicationa at this time.

Does my child need to wear a school uniform?Students are required to wear a white Astor polo shirt, priced at $35 per shirt, which can be combined with comfortable shorts, skirt, leggings, or trousers. We encourage all students to wear closed shoes (no flip flops).

Does the school provide transportation and what are the cost?Yes, this service is provided by an external transportation company with Astor acting in a liaison role for necessary arrangements with the school bus provider on behalf of the parents. Does the school provide snacks and lunch?Students bring their own snacks from home. For lunch, families have the option to order meals from our partnered catering company at a cost of SGD 6.50 per lunch, or they may choose to pack a lunch from home.

Do you have an outdoor space?Yes. All our students spend at least 40 minutes a day outdoors. Physical activity and outdoor play improve student concentration and have endless benefits for children's health. Here you can take a look at our playground:
